Founded in 1815 on the water on the Islay’s south coast Liana was trying to capture the history and spirit of Scotland. An incredibly beautiful spot and great to draw.

We enjoyed a lovely visit to the distillery when we stayed in Islay.  The distillery is on the Three Distilleries walking/cycling route where you can visit Lagavulin, Laphroaig and Ardbeg on foot from Port Ellen!  The perfect stagger!  We sat outside beside the loch tasting Laphroaig’s 10 year old collection, along with cheese and oatcakes.  The perfect afternoon with superb staff!
