Beside Island Bakery on Mull is Sgriob Ruadh Farm where Joe’s parents Jeff & Chris established Isle of Mull Cheese. It’s one of the few Scottish cheeses still made with the milk from a single herd. The cows graze in fields next to the bakery, amid the aroma of baking biscuits. Their diet is lush Mull grass and barley from Tobermory distillery combine to give a fulsome flavour to the cheddar style cheese. Island Bakery lovingly blend with organic ingredients and gently bake in our wood-fired ovens. These all butter biscuits have a melt-in-the-mouth texture, with a superb cheesy hit. This most moreish creation made with Isle of Mull Cheese from the family, just as it is. This is a richly indulgent concoction.
